As far back as I can remember, I have had to face many trials. It seemed like one obstacle after another, each one testing my strength and resilience. These trials were the kind that weighed me down, leaving me feeling overwhelmed and defeated. But everything changed when I came to Christ.
Upon accepting Christ into my life and realizing the truth of who He said I am, a new set of trials emerged. These trials were different, more refined, and spiritual in nature. Looking back, I can confidently say that if it were not for the boundless mercy of God, I might not have made it through. He truly kept me, and I am a living testament to His grace.
One particular episode stands out vividly in my memory. It was during my time at my previous job, a place filled with toxicity, which had begun to take a toll on my health. Paradoxically, I was losing weight rapidly, which might seem like a good thing to me at first. However, the speed at which I was shedding pounds greatly concerned my doctor.
In those moments, I was reminded of the biblical story of Hannah, who went to God in desperation, pouring out her heart's desires. I, too, found myself on my knees, seeking refuge in God's presence. Little did I realize that God was using this situation however difficult to reveal more to me about myself and to strengthen my unwavering trust in Him.
Through it all, I emerged from that trying situation, soaring like an eagle. It was not just a simple move; it was a promotion orchestrated by God right in the presence of my enemies. It was a testimony to the fact that God's plans for us often involve lifting us up when the world seeks to bring us down.
Many times, we find ourselves in circumstances that feel unbearable, situations where we wonder if God is truly present. But even when we can't see Him, rest assured that He is working behind the scenes, orchestrating events for our ultimate good, just as Romans 8:28 (KJV) assures us: " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose."
These challenging situations we encounter are often necessary for our spiritual growth. Just as Jacob had to undergo a transformative process in Laban's household before becoming Israel, our character must be molded and refined through trials to prepare us for the destiny God has in store.
In conclusion, as I reflect on my journey, I can confidently proclaim that my faith has allowed me to soar above life's trials. The trials, though challenging, were instruments in God's hands, shaping me into the person I needed to become. I encourage you to hold onto your faith during challenging times, for your trials, too, can lead to transformation and elevation. Trust that God is working all things together for your good, and one day, you will rise above your circumstances and SOAR to new heights, just as He intended.
